In the Data Analyst Intern position, you'll support a team that delivers analytics and operational insights by completing key hands-on work that helps our programs run smoothly today while improving how they operate tomorrow. You'll work with data to identify trends, support reporting, and help reduce manual effort through better process design, documentation, and automation-ready practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail, and is excited to build technical and analytical skills that can grow into a Business Intelligence or Analytics development career after graduation.

What You'll Do and Impact:
Support ongoing analytics and operational work by completing recurring tasks, validating data, and ensuring outputs meet defined quality and accuracy standards.
Prepare, review, and validate request and approval packages by confirming required inputs are complete, accurate, and aligned with established guidelines.
Perform recurring data checks and follow-ups to confirm outcomes align with defined rules, resolving discrepancies and escalating issues when appropriate.
Compile and validate product usage metrics from multiple sources to support analysis, reporting, and informed recommendations.
Assist with periodic audits by reconciling data differences, documenting exceptions, and ensuring outputs are organized and stored consistently.
Maintain trackers and status logs that provide stakeholders with clear visibility into progress, issues, and next steps.
Support ad hoc data and analysis requests, particularly during high-volume or peak periods.
Document current-state workflows, including inputs, outputs, decision points, and handoffs, to improve clarity and reduce rework.
Identify recurring operational pain points and recommend improvements such as standardized templates, quality checklists, and clearer process definitions.
Support the transition of manual tasks toward automation by ensuring data, documentation, and requirements are structured and repeatable.
Contribute to reporting and dashboard development by assisting with validation, quality assurance, and incremental improvements in tools such as Power BI.
Experience:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Ability to work part-time (15-25 hours per week) during the academic year and full-time (30-40 hours per week) during the summer.
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including formulas, filters, and pivot tables.
Additional Items of Interest:
Exposure to analytics tools such as Power BI or SQL through coursework, internships, or personal projects is preferred.
Familiarity with Databricks, data visualization concepts, or process improvement.
