PCE, a live events production company, is seeking a Temporary Assistant Production Manager & Audio Engineer to support our Fair & Festival tour season. This position involves touring throughout California over the next 4 months to support the setup and execution of live events. PCE is the exclusive technical partner for equipment including audio, lighting, video, staging, rigging, and backline.

Duties
This role reports directly to theProduction Managerof the eventandis fullytravel ‑ based, supporting our California Fairs & Festivals season. The position requires being on the road for approximately 4 months and working at multiple event locations throughout the state. Lodgingand perdiemis provided by the company.
PrimaryResponsibilities
Maintain and manage all audio equipment at Events.
Set up, engineer, and mix audio for a wide range of events—bands, vocals, corporate, and more.
Advance pre-production and handle all audio-related advancements in collaboration with theProduction Manager.
Strong understanding of audio systems engineering and networking (Dante, Clear-Com, etc.)
Proven experience mixing audio for national touring acts
Perform basic cable repairs (XLR, Cat5, soldering).
Lead and manage A2s and audio techs; provide mentorship and direction.
Be diplomatic and collaborative—skilled at balancing hands‑on mixing with team leadership and crew management.
Interact professionally with clients, partner companies and third‑party vendors
Coordinate with touring artists and technical crews.
Ensure seamless event execution by following procedures and working closely with other departments.
AdditionalResponsibilities
Lead and motivate crews on events; set a positive example of conduct and professionalism.
Oversee crew management of 10+, including scheduling breaks, lunches, and timekeeping (punches)
Provide internal reporting to upper management as required.
Uphold all company standards, policies, and safety procedures.
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of responsiveness.
Requirements
Advanced knowledge in the design, configuration, assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of complex audio systems.
Proficient in multiple audio systems, with experience across low‑to high‑voltage signal conversion.
Working Knowledge of Yamaha, Digico, Avid and Allen and Health consoles preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification required.
VALID CA License with clean driving record over the last 3 years required .
Ability to lift 75lbs.
Flexibility to work a variety of hours including weekends and Holidays.
Ability to travel extensively, in a touring‑style work environment
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace safety.
Strong leadership and crew management skills, with excellent organizational and communication capabilities
This role is temporary with the potential of permanence.
