We are seeking a Security Officer to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

The position is full time, year round, five 8 hour shifts. Current schedule is Monday, Thursday, and Sunday nights from 6pm to 2am, and Friday and Sunday nights 7pm to 3am.

A minimum of 2 years of security or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for the guests, employees, visitors and contractors at all times.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs and rounds for observing the entire property.
• Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the hotel public or guest areas.
• Log and communicate to staff all risks, incidents and deviations from the Resort's safety standards.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing guests and visitors of policies.
• Conduct investigations and compile reports on a timely manner for any theft, loss, accidents or any aspect that risk the safety of the Resort.
• Assist and cooperate with local authorities in the investigation and handling of incidents.
• Complete a night log of all rounds activities and incidents and submit as instructed.
• Knowledge of all resort policies specific to safety and security.
• Provide guests with the proper information and services at the Resort.
• Handle guest complaints and problems in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with diverse groups of people and levels of management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the security, hospitality or related field.
• Physical ability to perform work required.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to safely perform the following: standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and walk at least 2 miles per day, including up & down stairs.
• Strong attention to detail
