This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career in estimating and preconstruction, working on projects typically ranging in the $100K to $3Million dollar area. You will support senior estimators and project teams in preparing accurate, competitive bids while gaining exposure to a wide range of electrical construction projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone earlier in their career to learn from senior team members, gain exposure to larger projects, and grow into a high‑impact role within a reputable electrical contractor. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial electrical projects Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents Analyze blueprints, electrical plans, and project specifications Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes Support the development of labor, material, and equipment cost estimates Use estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, McCormick) to build estimates Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed Help maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing Assist in bid leveling, scope review, and value engineering opportunities Qualifications 1–5 years of experience in electrical estimating or electrical construction (field experience is a plus) Knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or McCormick Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Understanding of NEC codes and construction practices Experience working for an electrical contractor / electrical construction firm Exposure to projects such as: Office buildings Warehouses / distribution centers Manufacturing facilities Healthcare or institutional buildings What We Offer 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Clear career growth path into Senior Estimator or Project Management Stable backlog of commercial and industrial work #J-18808-Ljbffr Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.
