Salary: $32 - 45 / hour (DOE)

Corstone Contractors LLC is an established commercial general contractor with repeat customers in multifamily and commercial markets across the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a self-motivated Carpenter to add to our successful team.

The Carpenter will start on a project in Snohomish County. This position is subject to be assigned to any of our project locations across Washington and based on business needs at time of hire. Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Maintenance, Repair, and Demolition:
    • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from cabinets to insulation to tile to drywall. Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed.
    • Build doors, cabinets, and windows. Measure and mark materials for alterations.
    • Perform minor plumbing and/or concrete mixing work.
    • Paint interiors using brushes and rollers.
    • Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible.
    • Drywall patching.
    • Unload, carry and stack material and place tool and equipment in position. With the ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Perform other manual duties as directed and responsible for performing carpentry labor. Use shovels to dig trenches and level soil and gravel.
    • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated. Assemble and fasten materials to make framework.
  • Safety, Organization, and Cleanliness:
    • Perform work in accordance with safety best practices
    • Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition
    • Maintains a safe and clean job site.
    • Clean for general maintenance
    • Work with and/or remove hazardous material
    • Understands and complies with all company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Operate Machinery:
    • Operate forklifts
    • Build or wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools
  • Assist Operations, Specific Skills, and Other Special Duties:
    • Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
    • Select and order lumber and other required materials.
    • Conduct building inspections and identify needed repairs
    • Read and interpret blue prints, assembly instructions and similar directions. Ability to read and understand construction documentation.
    • Provide leadership to other employees
    • Must have a reliable vehicle and current drivers license
    • Basic carpentry skills, strong communication skills, and curiosity and ability to learn and to follow directions.
    • Attend company meetings and company functions as requested

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Carpenter
  • Experience completing work on active job sites
  • Experience with commercial construction, specifically multifamily
  • Ability to deal with unforeseen challenges and variety of personality types
  • High-level of customer service
