The Cabling and Installation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of cabling and network systems for commercial clients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure every installation meets industry standards and customer satisfaction.

- Install, terminate, and test various types of cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling

-Installation of various equipment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine installation requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network cabling and connectivity.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inventory.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all installation activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally.
- Stay informed about the latest technology and industry trends to improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in cabling installation and network configuration (1-3 years preferred).
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., TIA/EIA standards, CAT5e/CAT6 cabling).
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and specialized equipment for cabling work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Some out of town work may be required.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfort working in various environments, including tight spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor settings.
