Banner University Medical Group and the Division of General Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Geriatrics are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our growing academic palliative care program in Tucson, Arizona. Position Details / Requirements Board eligible or board certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Primary focus on inpatient palliative care consultation at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South Campuses, with opportunities for collaborative outpatient clinic participation. Knowledge of hospice, serious illness care, and community resources. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to teaching and mentoring in an academic medical environment. Interest in quality improvement, program development, curriculum development, or scholarly activity encouraged. Experience preferred but open to new graduates from fellowship. Schedule Details Monday - Friday. No weekends and no call. Locations Primary: Banner University Medical Center Tucson, 1625 N. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ Overview of the Palliative Care Team The Palliative Care Team is based at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers. They provide inpatient consultation for patients with serious illness across a broad range of specialized services including Neurology, Medical, Cardiac, and Surgical ICUs, Transplant, Oncology, and Advanced Heart Failure, and also provide outpatient support and symptom management within the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
