- Job Description: Per Mar Security Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Summer Security Officer to support a client site undergoing building renovations. This role will primarily focus on fire watch duties, ensuring the safety of the premises during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct hourly patrols (rounds) throughout designated areas of the building
- Monitor for potential fire hazards, safety risks, or large leaks
- Maintain a strong awareness of surroundings and report any concerns immediately
- Accurately document patrols and incidents in written reports
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site protocols
Requirements: - Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to walk frequently and remain active throughout the shift
- Dependable, responsible, and accountable
- Punctual with a strong commitment to attendance and reliability
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Preferred Qualities: - Prior security or patrol experience (not required but a plus)
- Professional and responsible demeanor
- Pass background check
- Must pass on-site drug test at time of hire
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security - Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to be professional in all settings, maintain open communication with the Operations Manager, and be able to learn quickly
- Must be able to obtain a DSPS Private Security Person license
- Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- Must not have any felonies per DSPS Licensing requirements
Certification Requirements (All) Private Security License
