Job Summary

At Rios Mios Events, the DJ & MC role is the most important and foundational position within our company. This individual is responsible for creating exceptional celebrations by building genuine relationships with clients and understanding what matters most to them. Our DJs and MCs combine entertainment, leadership, creativity, and emotional intelligence to create unforgettable experiences. Through training and mentorship, team members develop high-level DJ, MC, and people skills that exceed client expectations. We are looking for enthusiastic, growth-minded individuals who are excited to connect with people, master their craft, and bring energy into every room they enter.

Core Responsibilities

As a DJ & MC, you will be responsible for:

• Creating exceptional and memorable event experiences for clients and guests
• Reliable & dependable transportation
• Building meaningful relationships with clients that go beyond a standard business interaction
• Bringing enthusiasm, positivity, and energy into every event and interaction
• Developing creative entertainment skills that consistently exceed expectations
• Being fully present, personable, and professional with clients and guests
• Pursuing continuous personal and professional growth every day
• Improving DJ, MC, crowd-reading, and public speaking abilities
• Managing your calendar, communication, and scheduled client meetings responsibly
• Learning and understanding audio equipment and event production fundamentals
• Safely and efficiently setting up and tearing down event equipment

Education & Experience

At Rios Mios Events, we value attitude, personality, and work ethic more than formal education.

• College education is respected and appreciated, but not required
• No prior DJ experience is necessary. Training is provided
• Experience with weddings, nightlife, live entertainment, music performance, theater, or public speaking is welcomed
