Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and engineering sector, is seeking a Technical Writer 1 to join their team. As a Technical Writer 1, you will be part of the Documentation Support team supporting technical communication and documentation projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: USA|Technical Writer 1

Location: Mount Pleasant, PA

Pay Range: DOE

Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm

What's the Job?

• Write, edit, and maintain semi-complex technical documentation, including user manuals, job aids, installation instructions, and technical bulletins.
• Participate in the development of online help screens for company products.
• Research technical and engineering information, including drawings, design and test specifications, and product prototypes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather accurate technical content.
• Contribute to all phases of the document development cycle, from project scope to documentation design.

What's Needed?

• Technical writing skills with experience in creating and editing technical documents.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong competency levels.
• Experience with PDF documents and familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar.
• Assessment scores in Word, Excel, and Outlook are preferred; please include scores on your resume.
• Ability to work primarily in person at the Mount Pleasant, PA location.
