Experienced Turkey Farm Manager

Position Overview

Oland Farms LLC is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Turkey Farm Manager to oversee daily operations of a commercial turkey farm in Southwest Missouri.

This is a leadership position for a serious poultry professional with strong turkey production experience, operational discipline, and the ability to manage commercial farm operations at a high level.

The ideal candidate understands flock performance, ventilation systems, biosecurity, environmental management, equipment maintenance, and commercial poultry standards.

This is not an entry-level position.

Housing may be available for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

Poultry & Flock Management

• Manage daily operations across multiple commercial turkey houses
• Monitor bird health, mortality, feed consumption, water systems, and flock performance
• Maintain proper ventilation, temperature, static pressure, humidity, and air quality
• Coordinate flock placements, cleanouts, downtime, and preparation between flocks
• Maintain strict biosecurity and sanitation standards
• Identify operational issues quickly and implement corrective action

Equipment & Facility Oversight

Strong working knowledge of:

• tunnel ventilation systems
• environmental controllers
• feed systems
• water systems
• heaters
• fans
• alarm systems
• curtain systems
• generators
• farm utility systems

Must be comfortable troubleshooting equipment and coordinating repairs when needed.

Leadership & Operations

• Supervise farm staff and daily workflow
• Maintain organized and professional farm operations
• Communicate effectively with ownership, contractors, veterinarians, and poultry representatives
• Assist with modernization and operational improvement projects
• Maintain accurate operational and flock records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years commercial poultry experience
• Turkey growing experience strongly preferred
• Prior management or lead-operator experience on a commercial farm
• Experience working with Butterball, Cargill, or other major poultry integrators preferred
• Strong understanding of:
  • ventilation management
  • flock health
  • mortality reduction
  • feed conversion
  • poultry house environmental systems
  • biosecurity standards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial turkey operations
• Experience managing multiple poultry houses
• Experience with automated environmental systems and controllers
• Mechanical or maintenance background
• Experience supervising farm labor
