We are seeking a passionate and experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations, support our team, and create an outstanding experience for every customer and their pets.
Position Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, customer service, sales performance, inventory management, and maintaining a welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who loves animals, enjoys building relationships, and has experience managing a retail environment.
Key Responsibilities - Lead, train, coach, and motivate store associates to deliver exceptional customer service
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures and workflow management
- Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer and pet needs
- Drive sales growth through customer engagement, community outreach, and team performance
- Manage inventory levels, product ordering, receiving, and merchandising
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment
- Build strong relationships with customers and create repeat business through trust and education
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and resolutions professionally
- Monitor sales goals, performance metrics, and operational standards
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members
Qualifications - 2+ years of retail management or leadership experience preferred
- Passion for animals and interest in pet nutrition and wellness
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience with inventory management and retail operations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pet retail, specialty retail, natural foods, or wellness-focused industries
- Knowledge of dog nutrition, supplements, or pet wellness products
- Experience building customer loyalty and community relationships
