Heavy General LaborerSurestaff is immediately hiring a Heavy General Laborer in Huntley, IL. As a Warehouse Associate for Surestaff, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including: No experience is necessary and qualified applicants can start immediately! This position will require candidates to be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Surestaff is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18 - $19/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include: 1st Shift: 6am - 2:30 pm ($18) 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm-11:30 pm ($19)Responsibilities of the Heavy General Laborer:Keep powder levels up by bringing barrels in for filling hoppersRelieve enamel sprayers when necessaryClean filters and magnetsPreventative maintenance on machines, and repairs that are not done by plant maintenance staffOrder parts, supplies and hooksCommunicates with all Supervisors, Manager and employees from other departmentsComprehends instructions from Supervisors and ManagerComplete production reportMonitor quality of production by self-check, successive checks and comparison to quality standardsActive with troubleshooting and continual improvement of the processDecides on Pre-shipment approvalWorks with maintenance on problems with Air-Conditioner, Compressor Air and Powder BoothsMust fill out SPC chartsInterprets which lot of powder is best for any given lineNeeds to work with Quality Control on questions concerning Powder Booth and related defectsMaintains Quality Control for employeesRequired Qualifications of the Heavy General Laborer:May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)Able to 50 lbs. drums of powder.About Surestaff At Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
