Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, providing telehealth services in an educational setting. This contract role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support remotely to students requiring auditory and communication assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting telehealth sessions tailored to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive support.
  • Utilizing assistive technology and communication tools effectively during remote instruction.
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Certification in Deaf Education or relevant licensure demonstrating expertise with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population.
  • Proven experience delivering educational services through telehealth platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of auditory and communication development strategies for students with hearing loss.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
