Department: Health Department - Healthy Beginnings

Hiring Rate: Starting at $32.02/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

Position To Be Filled: ASAP

Hours & Days Of Work: 36 hours per week

Location Of Position: Elkhart and Goshen Clinic Sites

Travel Requirements: Within County (Please complete driving page on application)

Job Summary:

Responsible for establishing nutritional eligibility for participants of the WIC program, including providing participant-specific nutritional education, developing/implementing individual care plans for low-risk participants, and providing in-depth counseling/follow-ups with high-risk participants.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition/Nutrition Science, Public Health Nutrition/Community Nutrition or Clinical Nutrition
• Working knowledge of WIC/County policies, procedures, and requirements
• Knowledge of risk factors of women/infants/children, nutrition education program, and human lactation resources
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills beneficial
• Pre-employment background check and TB Test
