Journeyman Electrician

EverCharge is a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging devices and management systems and provides hardware and software EV charging solutions for fleets, multi-unit, and single-family homes. Our turnkey offerings are designed to utilize existing infrastructure to scale EV charging at the lowest cost. EverCharge's load-balancing SmartPower technology maximizes the number of electric vehicles that can charge at once and eliminates barriers, such as data connectivity.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Hayward CA, EverCharge also operates a factory in Hayward, which supplies EVSEs for its customers across North America.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a positive liaise between field team and all other departments
• Reading, interpreting and communicating blueprints to ensure all team members have a clear understanding of the work to be performed; reading and creating load calculations and SLD; marking maps with conduit run and electrical equipment
• Installing single and three phase electrical equipment as dictated in engineering plans, while confirming proper conductors and conduits are used in accordance with EverCharge, NEC guidelines and in strict compliance with OSHA standards.
• Performing load studies and/or site readiness surveys, occasionally.
• Properly install conduits and equipment with minimal guidance that follows engineering plans, NEC code. Evaluate job sites to confirm locations of panel and transformer placement, conduit routes, and working areas; communicate any differences from plans to management and ensure plans are properly marked.
• Following all OSHA and company safety standards; demonstrates a high regard for safe work practices, always.
• Keeping an eye out for safety hazards and communicating all safety concerns and/or unsafe work practices or behaviors that may jeopardize safety to your Regional Foreman/Supervisor and/or the Field Operations Manager.
• Ensure preparedness each day: show up on time with a positive attitude, ready to put your best foot forward, and make sure you have everything you need before heading to the job site.
• Daily timekeeping requirements utilizing mobile app.
• Cleaning up work areas (including work vehicles).
• Jumping in to help others when needed; provide guidance and support as needed for other team members.
• Growing in skill and experience working in the EV space!

Qualifications:

• Valid State of California General Electrician License (Journeyman)
• 5+ years of commercial, electrical experience
• Experience supervising, guiding, and supporting teams of 4+
• Experience working with voltage from 208-480, 3 phase electrical equipment and circuits, including proper sizing, positioning, and code requirements.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues; perform add-on services.

License/Other Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license and pass criminal and MVR background checks (must have a good driving record!)
• Will be required to meet at customer site or company warehouse (Carson, CA) daily; job sites may be located up to 2 hours away from warehouse.

Job Title and Compensation:

• The base compensation range for this position is between $45.00 and $60.00 an hour, based on full-time employment.
• Actual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and work location.
