The ideal candidate will have knowledge in marital law, divorce, dissolutions, child custody, parental allocations, alimony, and maintenance. The role requires strong litigation skills, courtroom trials, mediation, negotiation, an active IL State Bar membership, and excellent legal research and writing skills. Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during trials. Study the constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases. Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes. Conduct legal research and gather evidence. Ensure the client's interests are represented properly. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts. Deal with complex matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and parental allocations. Qualifications Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active member of the Illinois State Bar. Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law. Proven background in marital law, divorce, dissolutions, child custody, parental allocations, alimony, and maintenance. Proven litigation skills and experience in the courtroom. Strong negotiation and mediation skills. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
