Job Description:The ERP Analyst will serve as the primary internal resource for our business as we embark on our SAP S4/HANA journey. The ERP Analyst will work closely with our regional SAP team and serve as the on-site “go-to” for day-to-day SAP support, enhancements, and continuous improvement of business processes enabled by SAP. The ERP Analyst’s role is to maintain and improve efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefits of IT system investments.ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day operation of the SAP S/4HANA ERP systemOwnership of incident resolution (1st level), root-cause analysis, and coordination with SAP support and the regional SAP experts for more complex issuesManage and execute system enhancements, configurations, and process improvements in SAP S/4HANA and related systemsWork closely with production/manufacturing, inventory, planning, logistics, and finance teams to align SAP system usage with business operationsServe as the liaison between business functions (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, sales/distribution) and the SAP support team to ensure that system functionality aligns with business needsCoordinate setup, maintenance, and troubleshoot issues related to EDI and customer-specific label requirementsDocument business processes, system flows, and configurations; assist with change-management (user training, process documentation, SOPs)Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for optimization (e.g., master-data cleanup, process redesign, reporting enhancements)Partner with regional experts and third-party consultants to ensure best practices, compliance with standards, and knowledge transfer to the businessParticipate in periodic reviews of system functionality, evaluate new SAP modules/add-ons, and recommend improvementsMaintain system access and ensure proper separation of duties existsPosition RequirementsFormal Education & CertificationCollege diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration, and 4 years of related work experience.Knowledge & ExperienceExperience in systems analysis or business systems support in a manufacturing setting is required, Automotive industry preferredExperience working with ERP systems; direct exposure to SAP (especially S/4HANA) is a strong plusSolid understanding of manufacturing operations (e.g., production, inventory, supply chain, procurement, quality) and how they integrate with ERP systemsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate between business users and technical teamsStrong documentation skills (process flows, functional specs, testing scripts).Comfortable working independently (given you’ll be the only ERP Analyst on site) but also capable of collaborating with remote/regional SAP expertsWillingness to engage in change management, user training, and continuous process improvementExperience supporting automotive EDI preferredSAP certification (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Associate) or equivalent preferredPersonal AttributesGood project management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent listening and interpersonal skillsAbility to conduct research into systems issues and products as requiredAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageHighly self-motivated and directedKeen attention to detailProven analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
