Cost Accountant

Our client in East Hanover, NJ is seeking an on-site Direct Hire Cost Accountant. Salary: $115k-$130k K DOE

Responsibilities:

• Verification of the existing product costing (incl. time / weight studies).
• Establishment of standard costs of manufactured goods.
• Developing financial analysis / reports to improve processes / profitability.
• Advising executives on appropriate costing based on financial data.
• Support new business process with accurate costing information.
• Close collaboration with Supply Chain to enhance productivity & profitability.
• Establish inventory cost and reconciliation.
• Establish report material variance analysis based on BOMs and production performance.
• Calculate labor variable to standard.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent financial analysis skills.
• Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
• Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software.
